John Paradise
UKCP registered psychotherapist
I am a UKCP registered psychotherapist and psychotherapist supervisor and trainer offering psychotherapy in Exeter. I work with men and women and specialise in working with men and issues that affect a man’s mental, emotional or psychological well being. This includes working with unhelpful relationships with pornography where there is often shame. I believe there is a particular type of silence that keeps men from getting help they need. I do of course also work with women.
Whatever the issues are that you bring, I am here to help you feel better in how you live your life. I place a great deal of importance on my therapeutic relationship with clients, for it is through this trusting relationship that healthy and lasting change occurs.
Counselling – Psychotherapy
I offer counselling and psychotherapy. Briefly, counselling offers counsel, it can be thought of as a way to help with events you are currently experiencing such as redundancy or relationship breakdown. I think of psychotherapy as therapy for the psyche. In other words psychotherapy is working at a deeper level, this can help address problematic or maladapted ways of being or experiencing the world.
